The Blue Marine Blogger Template is one of my favorite blog templates. Clean, simple and social media ready, this blog template will get you going in no time. With clean buttons for Digg, RSS feeds, and Technorati you will be off and running as you set up your blog and start posting! Don’t worry its free!
The sidebars are one of my favorite parts. With Drop down menus you will keep your sidebars clean and simple while making everything more accessible.
If you have questions about set-up, I know when I first used it I did, ask away in the comments section and I will respond asap!
Some things you will for sure need to do:
- Move the b:section below the head section, into the <body> section of the html script. In Blogger you will do this in the Layouts > Edit Html. If you do not do this you will get the following message: [Your template is invalid because the tag 'b:section' appears inside of the tag 'head'.]
- Before you “upload” the template you will also need to have four widgets in your current template so that the new template can pick them up. Otherwise you will have errors you cannot fix easily.
- The date will say “undefined” unless you go to your Dashboard for the blog you want to use > Settings > Formatting > Timestamp Format > make sure it is like this example : “Friday, February 06, 2009″
With those changes you should be hassle free… Enjoy
If you still want to see how to do it…. Check out this video tutorial I made

Hello,
I was curious if you can help me with the “Blue Marine” Template.
I’m a little confused about changing the “b:section” . I’ve havent been able to do it with success yet.
Also it says this in the back end. (Is this something that needs to be done?)
Thanks again in advance, greatly appreciated!

HOW TO USE THIS TEMPLATE?
—————————————-
Now, Before you can use this template, you have to move all the images to your own googlepages,
1. just upload all the images inside folder images (attached on the zip file)
2. then search and replace all YOUR-OWN-GOOGLEPAGE-ADDRESS with your own googlepages address
3. save your template, and done
I love to help.
I’ll send an email with detailed information about b:section and changing the images.
Seth, please email the detail to me too.
Can I use googlesites to upload the template images?
I try upload as attachment but nothing display in my blog.
I cannot upload the .js files.
One thing more..do I need change all the address in the template?
Thanks for your time to answering me.
I’m happy with the template so far and obviously made some change but I still can’t get the date to display. It still show “undefined.” I’m not sure what to do, I changed timestamp format to what was instructed. It still doesn’t work.
Hi Seth – also love the template and would like to get the detailed info. The video was great until the demo screen you were running froze at the part where you were extracting the files, then I could only follow the audio. Perhaps there’s another place I can watch the video? Or text directions are fine as well. Thanks for the help.
